About us
A family masonry business, not a call centre with a truck
The person who quotes your job is the person who lays the brick. That is the whole model, and it is why the work looks the way it does.
Our story
Twenty-five years of Cambridge brick
We started as two bricklayers doing chimney repairs on weekends and grew, slowly and deliberately, into a full masonry crew. We never took the shortcut of scaling by subcontracting the trowel work out — because the moment you do that, you stop controlling the only thing that actually matters.
Today we handle everything from a single cracked foundation joint to full stone elevations on custom builds. What has not changed is that you meet the people who will do the work, and the same people are still standing there at the final walkthrough.
We turn work down. If a job needs a structural engineer, or if the honest answer is that your wall has three more good years in it, we say so. It costs us jobs and it is the reason our phone keeps ringing.

Why masonry either lasts a century or fails in five years
There is very little middle ground in this trade. Masonry that is properly based, properly mixed and properly drained will outlive everyone reading this. Masonry that skipped any one of those three will start telling on itself within a handful of winters.
Almost every failure we are called out to repair traces back to the same short list: not enough base, the wrong mortar, or nowhere for water to go. None of those save the original contractor much money. They just move the cost onto the homeowner a few years later.
- Mortar matched to the age and hardness of your brick
- Excavation and compaction to full depth, every time
- Drainage designed before the first unit is set
Reviews
Cambridge homeowners, in their own words
Every review below is from a real job in a real neighbourhood — most within ten minutes of each other.
“They installed a stone fireplace for us and the quality of the work was outstanding. The price was fair and they finished when they said they would. We have had three neighbours ask who did it.”
“The stone walkway was applied so evenly. You can tell the difference between someone who does this properly and someone who just lays stone. Excellent workmanship.”
“Very satisfied with the brick restoration. They matched our original brick better than I thought was possible and cleaned up the site every single day.”
“Detail oriented from start to finish. They repointed the front elevation and rebuilt the chimney, and left the job site cleaner than they found it.”
“Quality work, done right. Our front steps and porch have never looked better. Highly recommend to anyone in Cambridge.”
